Michael's Biography

Michael was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. He went to the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. There he began learning the martial arts and developed a deep interest in Asian culture and philosophy. Later he moved back to Cincinnati, where he injured his shoulder and had his first experiences with bodywork. Massage helped heal his shoulder and Craniosacral Therapy (CST) helped quiet his mind. Soon Michael’s creativity and intuition increased dramatically. At that point Michael decided to go to massage school and learn all that he could about CST and the body-mind-spirit connection.

Michael's life has changed quite a bit since then. He has met a lot of very interesting new friends and mentors, begun meditating, learned about energy work and intuition; basically, his whole outlook on "Life the Universe and Everything" has changed.

Michael's Philosophy of Healing

The body, mind, and spirit are one, and that the words, "Body", "Mind" and "Spirit" are just convenient labels for things that seem to be separate. Michael's approach to healing reflects this. It’s more effective if healing involves more than just one of the three.

Heal the Body

The body has many systems to maintain homeostasis, provide immunity and repair damaged tissue. Stress turns these systems down. Bodywork relieves stress and turns these systems back up. In this way, bodywork can bolster the effectiveness of most treatment plans for most ailments. Pain relief…

Quiet the Mind

Emotions are centered in our bodies. We also have thoughts about these emotions, and emotional reactions to our thoughts. This situation can lead to feedback loops. These loops are often given names such as "Repetitive thoughts", "Limiting Beliefs", and others. They come back unbidden, time and again, because we are not processing, or resolving them. Rather, we often push them away or avoid them all together. Learning to recognize the elements of our current loop and how to process our thoughts and emotions, finally quiets that loop. Processing can not be done only in the mind alone, but must instead be done while centered in the body, where our emotions originate. A quiet mind has the time and energy to be creative and compassionate.

Enrich the Spirit

Establishing a daily spiritual practice can help shed old habits that no longer serve us. Guided Meditation and working with the human energy field, or Chakra system, enrich the Spirit. Through these spiritual activities, we can see the larger patterns in our thoughts and emotions and thereby experience new levels of consciousness.
